SINGING IN BAGHDAD AND BEYOND
The Solstice Institute presents Cameron Powers and Kristina Sophia and their show "Singing in Baghdad and Beyond", a benefit musical event with the aim of building a bridge between America and the Arab world. Cameron and Kristina's two-hour presentation highlights their travels playing music in Arabic countries. "Singing together in each othersâo[dot accent] languages builds the connections for which we are all starving", Cameron remarks. The presentation includes live music (Powers sings and plays the "Oud," the lute of the Arab world, and Kristina sings). Slides will accompany music and stories about the Arab world. This special event is a fundraiser to assist with medical costs that Cameron has incurred.

Date and time: Wednesday, December 14, 2005 7:00-9:00 pm at The Solstice Institute, 302 Pearl St., Boulder.

Tickets will be $10 at the door. Cash or check only.

CORNERSTONES FOR MEN - FOUNDATIONAL TOOLS FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL FREEDOM
Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9:00-6:30 at the Solstice Institute, Big room. - Cornerstones "New Foundation: One-Day Course Discover âo[ogonek]Cornerstonesâo[caron] for Men and you will discover a path to your own unique "Calling" in life! Every man has developed a set of "foundational" values that he draws upon to live life the best he can. How these values develop; the type of environment they develop in, and whether they have developed consciously, or unconsciously, often produces internal conflicts that undermine a man's ability to lead and create a life that feels both joyful and deeply purposeful. Cornerstones for Men has developed two powerful life-changing courses that illuminate and experientially explore four key "Energies" or "Modes of Being", that are common to every man's most vital values and actions: Purpose - Presence - Power - Passion. These energies emerge in varying degrees within each of us. Through the Cornerstones courses, each man will have a personal opportunity to view the difference between how he wants to live his life and how he is actually living his life. Most importantly, a man will discover how he can finally break free from any emotional and spiritual "survival-based" living and shift away from fear, shame, and hopelessness to a life full of inspiration, love, and service! Each Cornerstones Course is lead by a professional facilitator with years of experience in personal growth work âo[base "] centered primarily on men. Most groups have fifteen to twenty men from all walks of life who form a respectful circle of brothers helping each other through the discovery process.

Boulder Course Date: Nov 12
Cost: $150.00
