The Heart of Stillness….
An Introduction to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Within the cerebrospinal fluid is an invisible element that I refer to as the Breath of Life. I want you to visualize this as a fluid within a fluid, something that does not mix, something that has Potency as the thing that makes it move…that is more intelligent than your own human mentality.
William Sutherland, 1990
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is built on the original studies in craniosacral therapy of William Sutherland, D.O. It emphasizes utilization of multiple rhythms in the core systems of the body, termed by Sutherland the rhythms of primary respiration and the Breath of Life. This course catalyzes the perceptual skills necessary to guide you into the therapeutic force of these rhythms. During this 5-day class we will explore ways to expand perception and deepen our ability to make contact. The basic concepts of the Biodynamic Craniosacral approach will be introduced and experienced, including:
*manual and perceptual skills necessary to access the long tide rhythm of primary respiration
*the embryological ground of mid-line phenomena around which the system self-organizes
*the expression of an individual’s health: the ability to integrate the specifics of
personal history and wholeness of being
*the fluid drive of potency arising within the Health of the individual
*tracking the imprint of stress and trauma
*basic neuroanatomy

Belonging is a powerful theme, directly related to the intimacy that is in every human being.
We live in a time where ‘the temples of false advertising’ hypnotize and confuse our
authentic longings delivering us to superfi cial places that are empty of real nourishment.
Our responsibility as adults is to refine the compass of our own genuine longing and belonging. In this five day intensive, Susan Harper tends relational capacity, creative imagination, and the heart of belonging.
What Will We Do?
*New Continuum Movement Explorations - Susan brings new movement and sound explorations to facilitate a liquid articulation throughout the whole organism in a self-paced process that is pleasurable and empowering.
*Perceptual Exercises – Vital new ways of perceiving dramatically affect our movement,
physical structure, psychological profile, and capacity for intimacy.
*Deepen Embodiment – As we deepen physical embodiment greater awareness arises.
When awareness rises, Belonging awakens–it is incredibly imaginative–ripe with creative fecundity.
*Benefits - The movement encourages a heartful, listening, responsive body.
These practices open a radical capacity for presence, resonance and love.

One last tidbit, from Makaan Burt:
Dancing friends:
I found this interesting....
I came across this interesting piece in THE WEEK (March 10, 2006) in its Health and Science Section and thought you would like to see it. The piece is entitled The DNA of dancing. It states: "Some people, it appears, are born to dance. After analyzing the DNA of the families of 85 professional dancers and 782 other people, researchers spotted two genes that
appeared in dancers, but not in the others. They were't genes for rhythm, coordination, or flexibility. Instead, people who love to dance are genetically programmed to respond strongly to hormones and chemicals that promote feelings of spirituality, social communication, and bonding with other people. 'The genes we studied are more related to the emotional
side of dancing,' researcher Richard Ebstein tells Discovery.Com. Dancers, he said, have 'the need and ability to communicate with other people and a spiritual side to their natures that not only enable them to feel the music but to communicate that feeling to others via dance.'"
