It has come to my attention that the Hakomi Introductory Weekend coming up October 28-29 did not get proper billing in the last email. We include that information here, plus a run-down of other late October and November events at the building.
Dance news: On October 28 we will be hosting a Halloween Dance that is a fundraiser jointly benefiting Dance Home and The Commons Community Center. The dance starts at 8:00 and the cost is $7. The theme is "celebrating our deceased loved ones". This is a costume party. ****The Barefoot Boogie on October 31 will also be a costumed event. ****Another Dance fundraiser: World Dance Party! Sat, November 11 7:30 pm Admission on sliding scale $5-$12
Proceeds benefit the Swami Vishwananda Foundation and help defray expenses for his visit to Boulder on Nov. 30. Come dance the night away with DJs Luke Addington and Lauren Brillante!

Hero Dragon offers an imaginative framework in which we can keep the lines of communication with our kids open and focus on facing and solving problems rather than sidestepping them. Parents can take challenging topics like unwanted behavior and self-control into a make-believe world in which we empower heroes and subdue dragons for the good of all. The playful imagery serves to lighten conversations, encourage collaboration, and minimize judgement and blame.
Attendees of this one-day event will get a comprehensive look at how Hero Dragon works. Participants will be invited to work through exercises that demonstrate how to apply Hero Dragon to the circumstances of their own families. See how we can go from "How many times must I tell you!?!?" to "Let's calm that miserable dragon and find our heroes to work this out."

An Invitation To:
A WOMEN’S CIRCLE
This local Women’s Circle is a 3-month facilitated group experience, held 2 evenings/month, designed for women to nurture and learn from each other by sitting in circle together. The group will be facilitated by experienced coaches and group facilitators Alyce Barry and Susan DeGenring.
This circle is especially valuable if you:
· want to share creative and spiritual space with other women
· want someplace to safely work through challenging patterns
· are interested in working with relationship issues
· want support and connection
The Women’s Circle will combine sharing each woman's stories within a structured container to support inter- and intrapersonal work, using the principles and tools of Shadow Work® and Matrix Group Leadership.
LOGISTICS: When:
The group will be initiated on a weekend afternoon to form the bonds and basic structures, and will thereafter meet two Wednesday evenings a month for 3 months (continuation for the next quarter will be determined at that time.)
1st Session: Saturday Nov 4th, 1:00-6:00 at the Solstice Institute in Boulder
Evening Sessions: Wednesdays, 6:30-9:00 on the following dates:

We are excited about the new floor installation in our studio hallway; aesthetically pleasing, and easier to clean. The tile was installed by master craftsman Chrystos Minot (who also installed the new oak molding as well as the tile in the bathroom). Similarly, if you are looking for someone to install flagstone walkways, I will recommend Makaan Burt, who installed some for us this summer (303.257.8219).
